Looking to get more feel out of your pedals? Want to feel that satisfying feedback when your brakes lock up or sense the throttle react when your wheels break traction? I recently added Simagic's Haptic Pedal Reactors to my Heusinkveld Sprints, and it’s an amazing upgrade for anyone seeking more immersion in sim racing.
The install is pretty straightforward. Now, while these reactors aren’t specifically designed for Heusinkveld pedals, they can be easily adapted with a simple workaround. I found a 3D printable mount on cult3d.com—the file cost me about $6, and it was money well spent.
I downloaded the .stl file, set my 3D printer up with some carbon fiber PETG filament for extra strength, and before long, my mounts were ready to go. Installing them onto my Heusinkveld Sprint pedals was easy. I used an M4 countersunk screw (around 16mm) and a nut to attach the mount through the pedal face, replacing the factory screws.
For cable management, I zip-tied everything neatly along the pedal frame, keeping things tidy and out of the way, then hooked it all up to the Simagic P2000-HCB Haptic Control Box. You’ll also need the Accessory Power Supply from Simagic, but once everything was connected, I jumped into Simhub to fine-tune the haptics through a bit of trial and error.
This simple mod for Heusinkveld Sprint pedals with haptic reactors really brings the brake and throttle pedals to life, giving you that extra bit of feedback that makes all the difference in your sim racing experience! Of course, these products weren’t specifically designed to work together, so proceed at your own risk. That said, I’ve installed them and haven’t had any issues so far.
